A new Hope of Ford
The presence of Ford Motor Company officials at the Chicago Assembly Plant as witness of rolling off the assembly line of the first 2008 Taurus was the event. The process of The Ford Taurus model developing was almost stopped in 2006, like a victim to a little bit bigger Ford 500 and the new Ford Fusion.
2008, we can admit, is something like rebirth for Taurus. “I don’t know why we invest hundreds of millions of dollars in a name over 20 years and then walk away from it,” said Ford CEO Alan Mulally.
So, what are they the things, which helped Taurus to be on he top? The new Taurus got a nice makeover. It took styling elements, taken from the 500 and Fusion. There is a three-bar chrome grille on the front of Taurus has and besides, it has not so aggressive stance. To its advantage, Taurus has a powerful 260-hp V6 engine and, what is more, ABS and all-wheel-drive system. Ford hopes the new Taurus to reestablish some old market share in the rate of mid-size sedans.
