What makes Volkswagen Passat so popular?

Volkswagen PassatThe name of the car — Volkswagen Passat – says for itself, the car for folk, so to say a national car. It is developing and changing with the time passing. New 2007 innovations follow the previous 2006 ones.
2007 edition brought with itself a wagon model and some new tech features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control.
2008 model gets not so much changing. The trim levels are the Turbo, Lux, Komfort, and VR6.

There are some standard for now features, such as manual side and rear sunshades, leather steering wheel and shift knob, a power 12-way driver seat, and a temporary spare.
The Turbo model got such new features as interior trim, chrome window trim, heated front seats.
The Komfort mark got optional seat heaters and new 17-inch wheels.
Lux edition contains an optional Dynaudio sound system and a multifunction three-spoke steering wheel.
The VR6 edition has optional bi-xenon adaptive headlights, heated washer nozzles, and adaptive cruise control.
The current Passat possess such characteristics as 280-horsepower 3.2-liter V-6 and optional 4Motion all-wheel drive.
