Toyota sales beat all records

Toyota organized sales in June. Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. says that the sales rates have increased in comparison with the last year. It showed good results, both, cars and trucks, were sold successfully. Toyota sold 245,739 vehicles in June; this is 10.2 percent higher in comparison with June 2006 — 223,018 in. But automakers from Japan failed totally to be superior that of Ford Motor Co. to get the No. 2 U.S. sales spot.

Toyota rules in selling vehicles. The quantity of sold units amazes: 246,415 light vehicles in June. This is about 6 per cent more than it was a year ago. Trucks also show their best in selling. Compare: 89,407 a year ago and 100,043 vehicles this year. In total — 11.9 percent arousing. Just for observing the high speed of Toyota going on buying top, let’s see some examples:

  • In general car demand increased 9 percent (from 133,611 to 145,696)
  • Hybrid Prius sales — 83.1 percent arousing
  • Automaker’s high-volume Camry — 12.6 percent

But, to all the optimistic picture, Corolla sales became l2.2 percent lower to 36,499. If to take into consideration just the last 6 months, we can see the increasing of selling up 7.4 percent
