Alfa Romeo – again a leader
Incredible, but real, Alfa Romeo again is the winner of the U.S. market. This event is planning for the spring of 2009. For the first time, the date was expected to be assigned for the autumn 2009, but Fiat Group Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne promoted it. For the 3 years of Marchionne’s ownership, Fiat has changed for the better and brought more shareholder value in comparison with all the rest automakers. Some sources (eg just-auto.com) point out that the share price for Fiat aroused almost 90 per cent. They say this is a result of Fiat’s innovations in modeling.
The Brera and Spider are going to come to the import market by 2010. Alfa knows that these cars are too heavy and decided to decline the weight of cars. The company itself supposes to sale 20,000 editions each year, but Marchionne has in plans 175,000 ones by 2015.
