The Opel Vectra, the basis for Aura, expects much from it. The Opel Vectra made a lot of up-dating to the 2009 car models. But for a few years Saturn will still produce the models in Spring Hill, Tennessee. We have just to wait till 2009 or even 2010 for the Aura wagon.

New Opel differs in size to the current Aura, it is much bigger. A wider track and the wheelbase got some inches. The engine will be a twin-turbo V-6. A new version of engine, a direct-injection E85, will be suggested by GM. Europe is going to meet six-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmissions. All-wheel drive will be definitely added later, now they have the front-drive chassis.

The new model has a lot in common with the GTC concept coupe Opel, presented in Geneva this very year. The tendency is to have five doors instead of four ones. Of course, the car model will be supplied with all the conveniences; I mean all stuff and top-end navigation/entertainment system, which is operated from a central controller. The same or alike we can see in Audi’s MMI system.
