Saab takes new altitudes. It is going to be a new version of the Saab 9-7X. The number of these autos is limited. The firs show with them is planned for this autumn. In the SUV segment Saab has always had some original and unique characteristics. The style always distinguished itself and was recognizing all the time. Its sophisticated design inside and outside draws and catches attention, the features of design can be called premium.

The sporty style is something like brand face for Saab. The debute took place in 2005, two years ago. Since that time it has been sold more than 12, 000 units in the U.S. and Canada. For 2008 Saab makes more serious performance – editing the new lineup of Aero model –the 9-7X. The performance aspect can be given such epithet as sophisticated (in its best meaning). This model has unique paint and custom interior accouterments, a 6.0L V-8, 20-inch wheels and tires. Shannon say: “The 9-7X Aero is one great SUV to pilot. We are excited to offer enthusiastic drivers an increased level of performance with the Aero, a symbol of Saab performance, in the midsize SUV segment.”
From the technical point of view the new 9-7X has the following features: 6.0L small-block V-8 delivering 390 horsepower, 395 lb.-ft. (542 Nm) of torque. The acceleration is 0-60 mph. All these features should definitely please the energetic and aggressive people who are keen on drive and high speed.
The 9-7X Aero is easy to recognize, as it has a special colour — Carbon Flash Metallic. Specific are the wheels, they are 20-inch polished, aluminum. The wheels have P255/50R20 V-speed-rated performance tires. These tires are used for keeping the optimal balance between handling and ride.
The leather seats and embossed floor mats inside the Aero will not keep indifferent anyone. By the way, the Aero has a cold air induction package, developing 390 horsepower. This is because of the LS2 6.0L V-8. This unit has a good result – it delivers excellent down-low torque for strong off-the-line performance. The maximum of the 9-7X model towing capacity is 6,600 pounds (2994 kg). All the equipment is aimed to make the handling easier. The Saab 9-7X Aero has a driver in focus, that is why there are corner control, body roll control, front stabilizer bars, a heavy-duty rear axle with limited-slip differential.
