Chrysler loses the points, what’s up?
Crouse reflects the American style of life, maybe exactly because of this the 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Sunset Boulevard Edition. This auto reflects the most needed American demands, that is why it became so popular among the Americans. Despite a lot of ideas that the Chrysler would finish with five-door, the Chrysler is going to return in 2008. The opening of the model will come at the annual Woodward Dream Cruise.
The latest version has a very long and boring to pronounce name — PR Cruiser Sunset Boulevard Edition. The edition is covered with a special color, “Sunset Crystal”, also a given a unique, five-bar grille, brightly chromed 16-inch wheels and special badges and trim. The interior is also very interesting, there are cloth seats in a sporty style, a chromed gauge bezelungainly, silk-finished sill plates are in the full harmony with painted dashboard accents, and altogether they match the color of the car surface.
This edition has a set of standard features, like sunroof, an AM/FM/CD audio system with MP3 input, power windows and mirrors, and a tilt steering column.
The auto has mated to the LX’s 150-hp a five-speed manual, the engine is 2.4-liter in-line four. All this costs $16,650. $17,475 – is the price for a four-speed automatic.
But, the point is that all this additional features and changes are just cosmetic ones. The automakers did not add any metal detail on this car, admitted product chief Larry Lyons.
“At some point there wouldn’t be enough (demand) but no one believed we’d ever sell as many as we have so far, including myself.” These are the words of the executive. Since its start the Chrysler edited 1.2 million Cruisers. The statistics shows the digit 140,000 – this is an annual pace for the past resent years.
The automakers plan to produce around 500 of the Sunset Boulevard Edition. Just note for the comparison: for some other limited-edition spin-offs made earlier the Chrysler sold about 11,000 copies.

i think the problem of Chrysler is that it manufactories the vehicles aimed only for Americans their life-style and demands. That is a huge mistake and fortunately they managed to get it. Chrysler was originally the classical posh car aimed for refined, noble, very rich people. As you know it is the main car of British Royal family. So the manufacturers should continue this very line.
