Infinity represents the new 2008 EX
The debut for a new five-passenger crossover — Infiniti’s 2008 EX – will take place at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. After this in December this auto is going to be sate on sale. The drivetrain of this new crossover coincides with the other vehicles of Nissan’s ‘FM’ rear drive architecture. In other words, a new 2008 EX will have a 3.5-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower and, of course, more. And, in addition, it will have some ‘Infiniti Swell’ acceleration feel, as Nissan calls it. The V-6 is connected to five-speed automatic? In its turn this provides a manual gate, a sport mode and an adaptive shifting.
When describing the interior, it is better to start with the flexible seating arrangement, which consists of a four-way power passenger seat up front and with an eight-way power driver seat. With these seats one can order memory control. The second-row seats can be split 60/40. Such function as a power-folding one is available. The other advantageous options are a power sunroof, xenon headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity.
By the way, when being represented in December, the EX will be perhaps the first vehicle to bring two new technologies, which are aimed at reducing accidents. The first one is an Around View Monitor. It uses the small front, cameras for projecting an all-around view of potential objects on all the sides of the vehicle. This is very helpful to reduce blind spots while parking.
The Lane Departnure Prevention system (LDP) system is also available on the Infiniti FX. It is used to alert the driver from accidental movement outside the designated lane. Also the vehicle’s Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system is used to help the driver’s assistance of maintaining lane position in case when if the vehicle starts to drift outside the lane. Both these system are just small cameras, set behind the windshield.
Other pluses of the car are: curtain airbags, Dual front, tire pressure monitors, traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes.
