Highlander Hybrid – more powerful
For the 2008 Toyota has developed a bigger, Highlander Hybrid, which is more powerful. The model is a bright example of each detail work in unity, the whole work of the auto can be characterized as a system, where everything is its order. As a result we have a hybrid, counting 7 passenger places, but still being of the middle size.
Toyota has decided to change the design. Now it is not so ragged and upscale.
2008 Highlander will have five trim levels.
The gasoline Highlighter has three models. They are the base model, then come uplevel Sport and Limited models. This version comes with two-wheel and four-wheel-drive options (4WD). The Highlight hybrid also has a base model, and a Limited model. This very version has the two-wheel-drive (2WD) option for 2008.
The rear camera is standard for all the base gasoline models. This means that the navigation screen is not important for you anymore. With the camera, you will have the rear view picture in the information screen which is set in the center of the dash.
The Hybrid has some particular features different from the base model. One of them is blue meter gauges (the gasoline model has red ones). The interior also is a little bit different, the wood grain, the grille and wheels are hybrid specific.
The customers will also appreciate several unique technologies supporting the Hybrid. They are aimed to save more at the fuel pump. The first one – the Hybrid System Indicator – is set to help divers in self-studying how to accelerate efficiency. The other efficient feature is the VEX Mode. This supply is aimed to allow the driver staying in the electric-only motor some time longer and in lower speeds. This will be helpful in case of appropriate operating conditions, for example: warmed-up engine, properly charged battery, and so on. The VEX mode helps a car to go three miles without the gasoline engine. The last technology is for helping lead foots. This system is called ECON Mode.
