The new F700 from Mersedes-Benz

The new F700 from Mersedes-BenzFor the current Auto Show in Frankfurt Mercedes-Benz prepared the F700, the car that can be given the following epithets: dizzying and dazzling. The collection of this model is bundled into a concept-car body. This body can serve as the prototype to the future coming S-Class sedan.

In any case, the accent is made on low consumption and of course, on friendliness to the environment. The results were achieved because of using an experimental engine, which successfully combines turbo charging and diesel compression in a gas engine. This engine produces V-6 power, despite of being only a four-cylinder.
According to the DiesOtto prototype unit engineers the unit offers the fuel consumption and the torque of a diesel, but has the emissions quality and power of gas. Being just 1.8 liters, the car can develop a speed equal to 238 horsepower. This point is more in comparison with a standard V-6 with 3.5 liters engine or V-6 diesel with 3.0 liters. Additional 20 horsepower are gotten from the electric hybrid motors. Revising all , we see that the F700 can be speeded up to 60 mph just in 7.5 sec. the top speed is more than 120 mph, this is more then a helpful power.
The DiesOtto is more effective as it is smaller, the design is more compact, and the Otto is compatible with two-stage serial turbo changing. This changing is running on gas, each cylinder has a spark plug at the top, but they do not fire each cycle. This happens only when the driver accelerates hard. The sparkle will be gentler in this case. The compression can cause the ignition of the fuel mix, so the spark is not in need any more. This innovation got the name Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) from Mercedes.
Speaking about the price, it is vivid that the cars with the engine diesel are more expensive. The DiesOtto is a good alternative, which can be involved into the car production; the facts say that GM now is experimenting with equal concept, too.
By the way, the DiesOtto got its for the first look strange name from a combination of two words: diesel and a second name of Nikolaus Otto. Nikolaus Otto invented the gasoline engine 130 years ago, in 1867.
In order to make the car more glamorous and luxurious, the automaker developed their own concept’s technological systems, which are equipped with lasers, avatars and other systems.
