Have you seen the Jaguar XKR? The general impression is: it impresses with its speed, comfort and beauty. But, if get acquainted with appealing in driving, we came to the conclusion that there is much to be desired. The developers of the latest model took much attention on the chassis improving and the dynamics improving. The same could be done for the engine boosting alone. The British developers accented the sporty character. They did this very gently, in order not to distort the basic formula of a large British GT.

It is felt just after a few miles of driving. Much was done: the steering, the gearshifts in the automatic transmission are faster, brakes sensitivity is improved. All mentioned led to the great result – we have a beautiful package, which made a sensation easily.
The overboard is changed little. Some parts seem a little audacious for such car as Jaguar. The interior pleases more. It is more elegant. The whole mood of the interior is focused around the sporty bucket seats. They are marked with the “R” logo. This logo is on the headrests, on the tacho, in the steering wheel and the gear-knob. Brushed aluminium panels highlight much of the cabin. They cover most of the transmission tunnel and the center console. Some personalization can be done there. But all this can be set another place altogether with wood trim. Reach leather cover the rest of the interior, among them the door panels.
Some plastic here and there does not spoil the interior.
The new Jaguar XKR now is bigger in size in comparison with the previous model. 70 additional kilos—it is not a joke. That is why the upgraded model’s first task was to “loose weight”. The inner room now has more space.
There are more rigid springs and dampers in comparison with the XK model. New calibration of the hydraulic power steering should be also mentioned. Other improvements are the addition in a rear-shock tower strut brace, and the car’s electronic management upgrading. This resulted to the following: the car became more efficient in getting power to the ground. It is perfect; you will feel little vibration in the cabin.
The standard AJ-V8 engine has only 300 horsepower in base models. But there are variants with 420 hp. In five seconds the car can develop 250km/h.
Some hardly believe that the Jaguar automakers were able to develop such model as the XKR, though having lack of money.
